Just curious if anyone can supply info on living in Juneau? Tips on relocating, in-state travel, shopping, etc. Also any hints on winter living, dealing with low light and short days...

I do not live in Juneau, but I live in Kodiak and I can tell you that you have all the amentities of the lower 48 there. The winter time is not bad and the daylight you will hardly notice. It is in comparison to living in Colorado or Seattle. The short days and low light during the winter times in Alaska is not really noticed until you get up around Nome and Barrow and those areas. I am not saying that you will not notice some change, but it is not like you may expect. Juneau is a neat place with neat little shops and eateries.
