My husband is currently stationed in Korea on an unaccompanied tour. We ( our kids and myself) are at his previous post. He is reenlisting and reclassing on Tuesday since his MOS is overstrengthed. My question is since he doesn't finish his Korea tour until June 2012 would he not go to AIT until after that? or will they shorten his tour in Korea and send him straight to AIT? Also since we are at his old post will we be able to stay here while he goes to AIT, we currently live in on post housing and I was wondering if we would get kicked out when he returns stateside. Thanks for all the help!

1. If he is reenlisting next Tuesday, he all ready has the information on when he goes to AIT. And it will rarely be scheduled for before the date when he completes 12 months in Korea.
2. You will not get kicked out. You are authorized to remain where you are until he completes AIT. Once he receives his orders, they will be TDY enroute to his next duty station. So he will go to training, then he can come to where you are to help you go to the next duty station.
3. Once he gets is orders, take those with a power of attorney to the transportation office on the base where you are at to see about the arrangements on shipping your household goods to his next duty station.
4. If his AIT is 20 or more weeks, you can go with him. If less than 20 weeks, you are authorized to remain where you are (in government housing).
