So I am definitely getting the run around on this one. I reenlisted in July of 2010 and received an SRB I've been told by some that I need to serve 1/2 my new enlistment before being eligible to apply for AECP. Others have told me that I don't have to wait and that I can get a SRB waiver. Which is correct? Does it make a difference if by the time I PCS'd to go to school I would have served the 1/2 time? Any info would definitely be appreciated.

1. Wrong Forum, so I'm moving your question to the correct forum. 2. do you mean the military nursing program? All opinions I express on this web site are as a private individual. I am not representing my employer in any shape, means, form, manner or in any official capacity.

1. You were paid the SRB to remain in your MOS for the length of your contract. 2. If you reclass to another MOS prior to completeing this contract (all but last 90 days), you will have to repay part of the SRB. Rules are listed on Annex C of your reenlistment contract and in AR 601-280 para. 5-14. So basicly you need to decide, do AECP now and probably pay back part of the SRB or wait until you complete this contract. All opinions I express on this web site are as a private individual.
