My son wants to reclass from 11B to 15Q. But, he has an on-base dui charge from 6 mos ago still pending trial. So, they are holding up his orders as his retention recruiter thinks it may be too risky - afraid if conviction hits after reclass he could get booted from that mos and sent to parts unknown.

Any suggestions?

Just saying...people are warned constantly and briefed before every weekend that DUI's cant ruin careers and lives. And then they get one and don't think that it's going to ruin their career and that they can just slide by? Time to grow up and learn from mistakes.
