I'm currently deployed in Afghanistan with the ARNG, and I'm considering trying to make a move to the Air Force. My present duties have me working with OSI, and that is something I would definitely enjoy doing. What are the chances? Thanks in advance for any replies.

OSI does not have direct accessions for active duty enlisted personnel. You would need to come into the Air Force in another AFSC then hope to crosstrain to OSI. In the past they have accepted inter-service transfers to reserve positions in OSI, but you will need to check to see if that's still being done.

OSI has direct accessions for officers, although it's extremely competitive to get a job as an OSI agent as a brand new 2Lt.

However, I have to ask, if you're presently working with OSI why aren't you asking those folks directly, rather than posting this question on an internet forum?

Well, seeing as I'm not currently in the Air Force, I wanted to see if an Air Force recruiter could lock me on to what the process might be for trying to make this switch. I would need to join the Air Force to be able to make this happen, and a recruiter would be the first step in the process. Just trying to do my homework.
