okay, i am hesitant to write this but i really need to know the truth. i met a girl when i came back from iraq. now im going to keep this brief and not go too into depth, but she claims to have been SF ( not support but a Green Beret) and had attended selection, SERE, etc and been with PSY OPS. her uniform has either the Grp patch with SF tab or PSYOPS there is alot of things that do not add up and i really need to know if she is lying, then why? she has Semper Fi tattood on her and stories about her past do not really add up. i tried searching for her name on anything related to SF groups, but no results were found. she claims to have two names from when she lived in a few locations but im still feeling this situation is kinda dodgy. if anyone can help me out, id be glad to PM you the name, i just dont want to do it publicly. thank you for any help you can offer.

sounds EXTREMELY shady to me...not only are there no female Green Berets, she also claims to be a former Marine? Do you know for certain that she was actually in the service? Maybe she's just trying to impress you cause ur in the Army...or maybe she's just lying...

i know they are no "green beret" females, so at first i thought maybe she was in a support position. she has ALOT of issued ta 50 from the marines at her place including uniforms that would only fit her ( shes small frame ) but i know that doesnt "seal the deal" with her being in the military. shes got semper fi on her ankle. i have seen a few SF guys around me here, i assume they were medics, but her name didnt ring a bell. she doesnt like to talk about it in front of her mother either. i really want to just say i know your b.s.'ing me but i really dont know how to go about it. like what if i said hey look, i did some digging and there are no records of you at all anywhere. but then again im sure she would say well, thats because of this or that or its top secret. i am thinking about asking to see her military id again. last time she said, oh its not with me, next time was oh, im not allowed. now that i think about it, shes got alot of SF stuff, like a ring, coffee mugs, shirts, hats. im started to wonder if her ex boyfriend was SF and she got looped in some fantasy world. i did ask his name before but she said " dont worry about it " followed by " he was killed in afghanistan". the more i write the angrier i get. im just a truck driver so i need some help here . haha thanks for the help so far guys.

i should also add the reason i decided to post now instead of earlier is she mentioned something about coming under an ambush, and iraqis torturing her for information. that was pretty much the straw that broke the camels back. oh and the RPG that went through the humvee window to window like in the show over there. i need out, fast.

There are no female Special Forces troopers

PERIOD

end of discussion.

Only one honorary Green Beret has been awarded to a woman...ever. Her name was LTC Martha Raye...we called her 'Colonel Maggie', and she was authorized to wear it at her own descretion and she was one of us.

Anyone else is treaded on sacred and hallowed ground. Curse

Other female personnel attached to Special Forces or Special Operations units have NOT been through SFAS or SFQC and are NOT authorized the 'Long Tab'.

Other female personnel from the Dark Side of the house (CAG);
A) do not go through Selection or SFQC (there are other none of your business courses for them to attend, and
B) would never identify themselves by conversation or by uniform to you, me or anyone you've ever met, and
C) any such genuine person violating security (OPSEC and PERSEC) by discussing or passing it along it should be reported to CID/FBI immediately.

There was a woman who "Audited" the SFOC course in the early 80's and sued the army to get her Beret. She was transferred out the next day. Do a google search on Katy Wilder.

No other women have ever gotten within smelling distance of the school house.

She probably spent some time as a Marine Corps "pass around" if she has a "Semper Fi" tattoo. Best advice I can give you......dump her!

ViolinAs Don and others have already mentioned, there are no female wearers of the Green Beret. That being said, remembering back to 2002, when we held our 50th Anniversary, I had the time to chat with the Cmdr of SF, and commented to him, I knew 5 Ladies, whom were members of my last company, that. if they could pass SFQC, I would have accepted on any A-Team or RT/ST I was ever the One Zero of. The General was receptive enough to confide in me of the possibility some day of having Female SF Medics and/or Radio Operators on the Teams. However, unless it has happened since the 9th of June at the SFA Convention in Las Vegas, it "ain't so."

My most sincere advice to you is to turn all her names in to the local FBI representative as a possible SF/USMC wannabe. In or out of uniform, representing ones self as a member of the Military is a federal offense.

This "I can't tell you because it is Top Secret", is for the gullible and overly impressive individual. There are no Burned Records, at least of no one who was a member of the Military since WWII, as those were the records which were actually consumed in a fire at the MilRcdsCtr pretty much burned to the ground. Even then, the majority of records destroyed where limited due to the hasty "Get our with as many records as you can." attitude ot those employed ther at the time.

AS for the uniforms, memorabilia, fake pass ports, military ID, and what ever else she had to convince you of her importance, is all available in the following places: Internet, GI Joe stores, along with the numerous Military Surplus stores. For example, one of my former weapons men on ODA-116 (circa 1970-73) had, in his locker, (except for inspection times, the complete, and I mean COMPLETE Captain of the SS Gestapo Uniform. Anyone, anytime, at the right place is able to walk out with anything he/she would want in the line of military paraphnalia. We helped to catch a guy who was posing as the retired COL of some SF Unit, of a highly classified organization more awards then the surplus carries.

I sincerely hope you have gained some intelligence.....Ringo OUT

i had the knowledge of this, but i didnt know how to go about it and was seeking advice on how to either walk away or take it up a notch. i know you can buy just about anything anywhere these days or be "whatever" you want to be by obtaining certain items or documents. i know the top secret classified line was bs but like i said, besides this game of sherades she is a girl that i do/did care about and its not just like calling someone out at the pub who wants to say they are something they arent. thank you for all the advice and i am going to take a closer look at her passport(s) to reconfirm what i saw and question it a little bit further. i have decided that it is time to simply walk away before i get dragged into something deeper. the way i see it is if she would lie about something like that, what else can/would she lie about.

I believe it's illegal to possess two Passports.
As said above, contact your local FBI and report her. Give them both names and dates of birth. It could be she's playing an identity theft game.

If nothing else, she sounds like a she's nuts.

it is allowed to have two passports. As an example I have a civilian and a military or diplomatic passport (not sure what it is clasified as). Our unit made us get the other one as some of the countries we went to required you to have a passport for entry and would not just accept military orders, id etc. I am not 100% sure but our group got them for us. It was brown and not valid as long as my civilian passport.

As far as the other stuff you girl is wacked and as many have said way out there in the BS field. I would run fast and far from her as who knows how stable she is and her lying may just be the least of your problems.

You can have a blue civilian passport and a maroon "official" passport or black "diplomat" passport at the same time.

It is illegal to possess two passports, with two different names & DOBs.(unless you have secret squirrel dispensation)

ie: a woman marries & changes her name, when she gets the new passport she must surrender the old one.
