As I understand, (and please correct me if im wrong), somwhere along the line of being assigned to the 75th Ranger Regiment, you must be able to obtain a minimum of a SECRET security clearance? And if so, would two driving tickets impair me from obtaining this clearance? (To be specific with the two tickets, one was a speeding ticket i have already paid and the other is still pending but may get dropped... and its a reckless driving ticket i got recently, because i went down the beach and was under the impression that i was off city limits and did a few donnuts with my truck in the sand. I don't think that will bar you. Usually bankrupcy and bad credit...DUIs things like that will. Also once you get it, it is ALOT easier keeping it.

Should not be an issue. However I would start driving a little better as getting numerous tickets and driving violations could get you DX'd from the rgr bn. Commanders don't like things showing up on the blotter, especially if you do things like this on post. Remember serving in the Rgr Bn is a privelage and can be taken away if you become a problem child

Alright thank you for your opinions... its just the fact that I have always wanted to join the Military and attempting to be a Ranger was always my first choice out of anything. And then when i got this ticket I kinda told myself "Oh ****"! (Im not the type to screw up like that) And begin telling myself "Well you just screwed it all up.. your clearance just went right out the window and now your screwed".

And specifically directed towards ranger1stbat: That is fully understood.. and.. I know your were not calling me a problem child, but just for the record, im not now, and CERTAINLY would not be while in Reg. or in the Military in general.

From what ive found, they donnt want you to have bad credit or owe any money because they dont want you to be prone to black mail.

Im good to go, i have beautiful credit, a great background, i havnt done any foreign travel so that cant be a red flag, i have never done drugs and i never will. The only thing i really have is a speeding ticket and this pending ticket for spinning my tires in the sand at the beach.. the only downside to that is the fact that the cop actually arressted a bunch of people for doing that, including myself. But im getting an attourney to help me drop that because i dont feel that a ticket OR being detained was even remotely CLOSE to be necessary. (The cop didnt have good judgment because he was doing drugs, litterally, our police department is corrupt)

Would being placed on a 5150 72-hour hold in a psychiatric hospital disqualify me?

It was not court ordered.

It (and the reasons for it) could bar you from the military, let alone a clearance
