Could someone please explain in detail what a triple canopy is. I know it's a special forces thing and I've searched the web and got a generic version but I would rather read it from a group of men that have been there.
Thank you |

Simply put, it means 1st canopy - airborne tab, 2d canopy - ranger tab, 3d canopy - special forces tab. Because all three go above the SF patch, it's called a triple canopy. Airborne at the bottom, Ranger in the middle and the SF "Long Tab" at the top

It's a large PMC that shares part of the DoS contract with Bw and Dyncorp.

Stop taking life so seriously, you're not getting out alive anyway. |

Col. Murph are you some how trying to also give the recipe for a ranger sandwich? I don't no if I like that a ranger in the middle of airborne and SF, unless we cuddle first of course.

"Triple Canopy simply refers to the shoulder patch worn by soldiers who are both Ranger Qualified and SF (Long Tab) Qualified. They are worn in that order, Long tab on top, Ranger tab under that and Airborne tab on bottom. Check the regs,
