I'm here in downtown Harrisburg PA with a bunch of old timers. Great to see some of the old gang. Any of you all out there in internet land make it besides me?
From what I heard yesterday, the 2009 Convention will be in Las Vegas. I sat at the bar in the Hilton last night and a few of the detail men up from Bragg were there. The Team leader and the rest of his Team offered to pay for my drinks. Sure makes me feel good inside knowing that us old Vets and new Vets still have one thing in common. Respect.
Damn Guys, didn't know there was that many old professionals on this net. Guess I need to check into the forums more often then I do, but, I am usually up to my *** in "gators" with other "more important stuff."
At 75 (next) with a D571L for my SFDC number I do my best to stay as busy as I can. Since December 21st and April 30th, I've had two total knee replacements. We knew we would miss SFA this year, and planning on Vegas in Sept for SOAR (1498GL). However, we may pass on that again for a trip to New England where I grew up instead and make Vegas next year.
I've been off the air for a week or so, and doing some catching up as we speak. I see the scuttlebutt hitting the airwaves over the SFAHQ management policies and what not, has carried over into the convention. The one thing I haven't read yet is who was elected, re-elected, and still hanging in there, but haven't gotten that far into the mail as of yet.
