Are there any psyops positions where a female is not allowed to fill? Like they can't be attached to SF units?

Females cannot be members of the Tactical PSYOP Teams (TPT's), and those are the teams that get attached to SOF and conventional units.

So what would be typical duties for a female PYSOP soldier?

I really can't say. My company was a Tactical PSYOP unit. The only females we had that were 37F MOS were in the Product Production Detachment (PPD), never saw them when we deployed. Not sure if PPD's are even at the company level anymore. They were only at our unit to jump, we were one of the few reserve units on jump status.

Hopefully some others will be able to say.

We had female 37Fs down range. They were back in the rear crunchin' out leaflets for the most part. I saw them every three months or so when I visited our head shed. Not on the TPTs though.... --K.

When I got back after OIF 1 there was a lot of talk about allowing female soldiers on TPTs. I don't think anything ever became of it. That being said I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. Often the MP trucks pulling our security had female soldiers, so I don't see any reason that a team might not itself have females on it.

No female is allowed to be on a TPT which means if they go to 9th they are gona hate life. They will exist only to make taaws that no one will read and paws for the good idea fairy. You might be better off looking at CA.

Hey all, I'm currently a 14T looking to reclass in about a year and 37F caught my eye. However, I'm a female, and this info here is the first I've seen that might indicate that perhaps this MOS will not be quite as I expected...
Can any of you elaborate a little more on what kinds of jobs female 37Fs find themselves doing?
