I read on the Spec Ops center that a requirement for SF is to be 21 years of age. If you sign up for the 18x Contract do you go through OSUT, and then to Airborne school and wait until your 21 or is the training spread out?
Or is the Age part not a big deal.

The 21 year old requirement is to get an 18X contract. There is no specific age requirement to be in SF. National Guard Rep-63s have graduated the SFQC at age 19.

You absolutely can.

A lot of SF guys have been recruited from a Ranger Batt.

I know that prior service cannot go option 40. Option 40 I believe would only be for initial enlistment and not re-enlistment.

I tried to do this as prior service (doesn't matter which one) and it is not allowed. I can enlist again then try out based upon the previous posters link.

So if I went to a recruiter and we spoke about what I wanted to do I could get Option 40 in my Contract?
