anybody from unit that was due to leave May and had tour extended because of shoot down of a EC 121 on 4-15-69 am looking for copies of extension orders.

I was in the 4th Battalion 80th when they, the 84th & the 5th mech's orders came to Carson for Nam.
I was too short (substitute lucky) & missed the 5th mech's move. I watched as all my 3.2 drinking buddys shipped out. Springs was never the same, believe me!
Is there central communications clearinghouse for those who went?

I heard they left the 155s & 175's on the dock, split up the guys and the 80th was no more?
