A Marine currently deployed with my husband is looking for a penpal to exchange letters with. He doesn't have internet access at the moment so he asked me to try to find someone for him. He's let down every time the mail comes and he's the only one not getting mail. He's a 25 year old reservist Marine on his second deployment. Has he posted his information on http://www.anymarine.com that is one of the links we have and it is very good to get support from. You can look there and also look into http://www.americasupportsyou.mil and find out if there is a program he can go with through them as well.

hi! Anyone who wants to e-mail back-n-forth, I am your woman!!!! I already posted saying I am 38 single mom in Massashusetts (Cape Cod to be more specific).
I wanted to find a penpal. someone to talk to, but most of all I want to be that someone that YOU can talk to, I know you see way too many things and it can be hard to deal with. I am here to talk about anything, everything, or just nothing - its up to you. One thing I feel I ahould 'warn' you about......(getting worried? lol), I am HONEST (to a fault at times, & hey, sometimes the truth hurts. I am never mean or cruel, don't take it that way!
I have had a rough few years, 2008 has been really bad, & I would like to talk to someone who LISTENS and cares, and also wants to talk....

It is so nice you are taking the time to request for a pen pal for your husband's friend. I remember sendingpackages to my ex husband's friends cause they did not have family doing so. he served 4 years in the marine and was also deployed to irak back in 2003 and i do know personally how great they feel knowing someone actially cares. He still thanks me for all the cards him and his friend received from my co workers and church members. i will look up the info and send him cards myself

well i might not meet the age requirement - am 51 1/2, but would love to be a penpal. i will soon have more time on my hands, am retiring the end of the month (01/31/09).
