JUST A DUMB QUESTION FROM AN OLD GRUNT: AS I REMEMBER IT, AND BEST I CAN FIND READING UP ON IT, B-52s WERE BASED IN GUAM FIRST AND THEN THILAND ADDED. SOME FELLOW IS CONVINCED THEY WERE BASED OUT OF BINH HOA ALSO ARROUND 70' - 71'.
CAN ANYONE SAY DIFINITAVELY IF B-52s WERE EVER BASED AT BINH HOA, OR FOR THAT MATTER ANYWHERE IN COUNTRY?

I was a comm guy in AFCS attached to the SAC base at U-Tapao in Thailand where the B-52s were stationed. I belong to a YAHOO group for U-Tapao and I have never heard of them speak of a base in VN. Guam and U-T were the active bases but I will ask the other guys if they know of another base.

They had B-57s at the base.
There were many types of aircraft at Bien Hoa, but no B-52's.
