If you are attached to RECON, the new specops unit, or some flying units. but why would you WANT to go through that.

Back during NAM, all the HMs in my class went through SERE IF we were going with the grunts and to NAM.

SERE School was tough and they beat the crap out of you as being captured by the North Vietnames was even worse.

good morning

this topic has appeared before under different threads. i totally agree with river rat about sere being different.

i went through it in 1970 before going to nam and again in 1988 before deploying for operation earnest will.

the scariest things about sere are what you find out about yourself. go if your ordered to...but never volunteer for it. "failing" this training may cost you your career or worse in the wrong situation your life or those of others.
