Hi there. I was wondering what sorts of duty opportunities where there for a BSN student upon graduation in the Reserves. There's lots of information on active-duty nurses, of course, but not much in the way of Reserves. I am also, eventually, going to get a Master's degree (Nurse Practitioner or something). One small hitch in this is that I have primary custody of my daughter, and upon graduation, am looking to move back to Green Bay, Wisconsin, to avoid a long-distance custody battle with her mother, so I would be looking to be based out of WI/Northern IL. Spending even more time at Great Mistakes isn't the first idea I had in mind, but at least I'm familiar with the base and know there is a great staff of nurses there. Heh. I'm more interested in knowing what a Navy Nurse does in the reserves, what drills are like, the summer trainings, et cetera.
