I am in the process of enlisting as a 2T2 in the AF reserve for the Mpls air base which has C-130's and that's about it. I've talked to the guys there and know all about the job, etc. My question is that I might be moving to Utah near Hill AFB and I was wondering how different the job is if you are on a post that doesnt deal primarily in transport planes. Would it be hard to transfer due to a lack of positions versus a C-130 wing, etc.

Thanks for the info...
Keith

If there's not an aerial port, or other tenant unit with 2T2 positions, then I figure your best/only shot would be the readiness shop of the LRS (Logistics Readiness Squadron). Managing lots of training.

Okay, I forgot about the Air Logistics Center where they do depot maintenance for C-130s among other aircraft. No idea how or if that figures in at all.

Hill has 2T2 positions. I trained with several of them on annual tour this past year. Apparently they have some really good tours to and travel to Vegas (Nellis) regularly for exrcises and training. I wouldn't count them out. Call them and see what they have.

*I'm not speaking from personal experience*

But, one of my good friends is 2T2 here. Back when we were just all fighters, he was busy. We are constantly on the move TDY, deployments etc... you get the point.
