Hey I just wanted some info on being a Loadmaster. I read some of the previous Topics but I just wanted some more info. Do you get to travel and actually vist countries? Is it fun? Would you recommend it? What's the basic lifestyle?

I am still in tech school right now to be a Loadmaster, but all of our instructors have been all over the world...places I have never even heard of. A lot of them had cross-trained from other jobs and say that there is NO comparison. A lot of people say it's the best job in aircrew because you are constantly gone travelling the world...they told us that within a year and a half we would probably see more of the world than the senior class we graduated high school with will in their entire lifetime combined. That is definitely awesome. I actually get my assignment tomarrow, can't wait! Keeping my fingers crossed for C-17 but we'll see what happens....
