You, my friend, are nuts.
if you love -38, you need to go see the docs at Life Skills/Mental Health. They will give you a nice little pill, a special jacket for your arms, and a ride in a special van just for you.
Hey...it's on my hit list. It's one of the 2 states I haven't been to. I have to check off South Dakota, and Alaska...
...and, I hate to break it to all my adoring fans in South Dakota...but I'm comin' up to Alaska first. Gonna be a taildragger trip up, too...so summertime is a requirement.
I came up to the Arctic North (Eielson AFB) in Jan 09 after leaving Charleston SC. The day I left Charleston it was 83 degrees ... later that night I arrive in Fairbanks AK and it was -54! I'll tell you that first week sucked! Got used to it and haven't looked back yet. I love Alaska
Only draw back are the mosquitos ... they can drain a human of all blood in 37 seconds if you stand still for them
And they're huge!
