To all 2T2's, what is your favorite port? I am new and have only been to one port..McGuire. A lot of people say it sucks (really busy, low manning) here but I can't really compare it to anything else so to me its not bad.
I'm reserve and I've only been at McGuire myself, with trips down to Dobbins for proficiency training, but I don't mind McGuire at all. Our active-duty counter parts are a bit more open to letting us provide them with support during our drills. I'm confident that I can ask an active-duty person on shift aside to give myself and another person a refresher on the manual tasks of the job without pulling them from something important, or have them worried that they need to go over the steps more than once. I'm hoping to get in on one of the more lively operations next year.
Funny...I just talked to a retired guy in Sacramento around Xmas, and he said the same thing about Norton.
Hated every waking minute of it...and he was an LA Native who had spent many years in Minot (how our conversation got started, actually), so that must have been really hard to say.

I've only been stationed at dover but like lovecheese45 said i learned alot in the first year stationed here. i'm now going on 4 years and i'm still learning.
It's no longer a base, but Howard AFB was my personal favorite ... second would have to be Charleston AFB. Liked it so much, I went back for a second round.
Worst would have been Columbus AFB in Mississippi ... hated ALL 13 months of it!
