Little Rock AFB is going AMC!!!

This is new to you? I knew this when I PCS'ed to Little Rock back in July.

Ohhh thats right it was AETC before.

What effect will this have on everyone and why is it a good thing. I was at Dyess prior to recruting (AMC) then when I came into recruiting I was at the 348th RCS before it closed there at little Rock.

I didnt really notice a diffrence.

There's been talk of us going AMC for the three years I've been here, but now they brought it out of the closet.

I doubt it'll have any big effect on the base, but I know LRS, will get some dough! Maybe even some 60Ks.

Cool man. AETC doesnt get any money. I mean look at Lackland lol.

LRS won't get any TWCF funds...so quit dreaming

I was stationed there from 1994-1998. It was an ACC base when I got there. It switched to AETC right before I left. I don't see anything magical about the change. When we went from ACC back to AMC in 1996, the change was not much more than a patch change. AETC did however build some darn nice buildings in the time since I have left. The gym is second to none.

Since you are a 2T2, you need to PCS and go to real port like Charleston, Dover, Ramstein or Travis, then you'll see real action and $ for MHE.
