Greetings:

I am researching my Grandfather's WWI service. He did not serve overseas, but was moved around to different divisions, etc. here in the states. He began his service at Camp Dodge, Iowa with the 88th Division. Was transferred to the 348th Infantry Regiment, then to the 162nd Depot Brigade, and finally to Company A, 19th Battalion, US Guards; being discharged from Camp Logan, Texas. I believe he may have been part of the Illinois Guards who were stationed at Camp Logan.

I need help in finding information about the 19th Battalion, US Guards. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thank you kindly in advance!
