I have been enlisted in the NG for almost a year but have not shipped to BCT due to a car wreck that cause several injuries. I was supposed to ship in January but the wreck occurred 9 days prior to my ship date. In the wreck I suffered a broken pelvis that required 4 screws and 3 torn ligaments in my right knee with 2 scres and 2 tacks. I also banged my head and shattered the drivers window and fractured a vertebra in my neck. No lasting effects from this. Everything has healed. I have clearance from my Doctor's to continue to BCT. They have written letters for me as well. I understand that since I have not shipped I will have to go back to MEPS and before the Medical Board. More than likely I will need a waiver, that is, if I can get one! Does anyone have any advice or input on this? I really want to go and I know that I can pass the PT test and what is required of me in BCT. I am aware of the 12 mile march with a rucksack and I am preparing for that now. I am working out 5 days a week with no problems. I am jogging now and that improves everyday. My current ship date is 09/09 and I know that I can be physically ready. Do I stand a chance at MEPS?

Can't tell what MEPS and or NGB will decide on this. All I can say is to be sure to provide MEPS with your current Operative Reports and MD's clinical evaluations/findings.
