I have a question i hope someone can help me with: withing the next 6 months to a year i'll be receiving a direct commission or be goin to OCS for the Kentucky guard. i've done a little bit of research on the subject and have found its possible to switch to active component from the guard. my questions are these: is this a common occurence? how willing are guard units to give up soldiers to acive duty, and does anyone know a source that could give the full breakdown for this? thanks forany help you all can give me.
