hello im gonna join the national guard as a 31b,and have a few questions.I want to know if i could sign my contract and post pone my training? and if i can how long can I?and about how long is 31b training and could i get airassault/airbourne in my contract? thank you to everyone willing to help me out.

Your best bet would be to talk to your local ARNG recruiter. They have the answers you seek on this, your medical issues and the many more questions you may have.

I enlisted in Sept and didn't ship to BCT until April, so that was 7 months. With the Guard you do go to drill once you sign n swear, most states have RSP units (Recruit Sustainment Program) for those who have enlisted but not shipped.

As for your other Questions, just like roppd said, ask your recruiter.

Yes you can all of the above. First you can delay when you are looking to get in but remember they don't want you to go back on your word so they will try and ship you as early as they can stick by it. Second you can request Airborne as far as I know you can I had a battle buddy in OSUT get that in his contract. Third try and go in the winter even if it's cold its better than the summer its gonna be hot in MO.
