I'm watching this show on "Army Combatives" on the millitary channel, its called TOP Fighter (not sure what the TOP stands for). Im leaving for Benning July, 23 and was wondering how I would go about participating in this. Does the Guard offer this or is it just Active Duty? Do I just submit my interest in this program during/after basic anyone with any useful information would be appreciated. Thanks

Hey the National Guard does offer combatives training. I am a level 1 combatives instructor for my unit and when you get to your unit you can talk with your chain of command and they will see if they can get you into a slot to become and instructor if you want to be one there are 4 levels. I know that instructors usually hold a compitition against eachother in their respective levels just for pride atleast that is what goes on here at my unit and some of the surrounding units here. well hope that i have been helpfull if you have any more questions i will help you were i can have fun at basic see ya when ya get out brother HOOAH.
