I went to MEPS and passed all of my physical requirements back at the end of May. They measured me at 5'10" 191 lbs.(which I still dont agree with I know I am 5'11")I swore in to the Air Guard on June 17th. I am still waiting to find out when I will ship out to BMT in Texas. I am constantly fluxuating between 194 and 200 lbs. According to the Air Force Height/Weight Requirements at 5'10" I can't exceed 191 lbs. At 5'11" I can't exceed 197 lbs. Since I have already weighed in at MEPS do I have to weigh in again before shipping to Lackland? So also would I ship out from meps being in the Air Guard and not active duty Air Force, or would I just get my orders and go to my local airport and catch a plane to TX?

You are fine with your weight. You will not go to MEPS again before you ship out. You will most likely meet at your base you enlisted the day you leave for Lackland, and be taken to the airport by a shuttle. That is the way it works here in Kansas. I would know, my wife leaves for a year of training 15 July and this is how they are handling it.
Good luck and congrats on joining the ANG. You don't even know how much of a favor you are doing for yourself, trust me.

I really hope you're right. I've probably given myself an ulcer over all this weight crap! I just got my 1st "pay stub" in the mail yesterday so I guess that means I am in the system now. Hopefully I will find out some more on my ship date this weekend at my first drill.

Don't worry about it, you are fine with the weight. If you got an LES in the mail, you are in the pay system. Make sure to verify your SGLI amount is correct, as finance is notorious for not getting that correct and deducting too much or too little. As far as ship dates, don't be surprised if it is several months away. The ANG filled all its slots early in the year and people in our unit are getting January/February dates lately. You may get lucky, but if you get dates later than you want, its a ANG issue, not your unit. My wife ran into this up until they told her two weeks out that another date came open and she leaves 15 July. Before that she was being told October/November and she enlisted in March.

Everything looks fine on my LES. As far as hoping to go before the end of the month is my recruiter gave me a start date for Security Forces Tech School of Sept. 17th. He said he's trying to get me shipped to basic no later than the 28th of this month so that my BMT and Tech School **** right up to each other. I guess mine is a different kind of situation to get sworn in that and get shipped to basic that quickly because my recruiter told me he's trying to get me into someone else's spot because they did not go to basic for what ever reason. If any of that makes sense .. I'm just going by all I've been told up to now.
