Hi. My fiance is currently in the Army National Guard. He has served his four years and will go into IRR for two years now. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is likely that he could get deployed. I know they were calling a lot of people initially in the war under Bush, but does anyone know if that's changed with Obama? We are trying to weigh the risks of going IRR and getting deployed with any unit or staying in and knowing he's getting deployed except knowing his unit and MOS. Also, does anyone know the regulations with deployment from IRR? Do they get to choose their MOS? In addition, he is currently MOS 15G (Aircraft Structural Repair). Thanks for any help!
