I am getting ready to go to boot what am i aloud/need to bring?

Its Basic Training, not bootcamp. Go to the wannabe forums and you will find many discussions on this subject.

You should have gotten a list from your unit that is sending you to BMT. If not contact them and they will give you a list of what you can and cannot bring. Get a box and put in it things that you can use when you go to your school after BMT. That is if you are not a split option person. Word to the wise. Do not take a cell phone Ipod etc as these will get confiscated. good luck to you.

Check out the website where you are going for Basic, they may have a packing list. I know Ft. Jackson has a packing list on theirs.
