Ok I know someone is gonna say its been touched on...but I want to know if in the 28TH ID PA guard, if there is any chance of ranger school as an 11B? we just lost our LRPS unit.
According to what your unit MTOE designates per slots. Some positions in rifle companies, usually a squad leader, platoon leader, or platoon sgt slot is a ranger qual ASI para/line description... if you are in that slot, you are elegible to go... if you pass pre-Ranger and the application PT/Swin test... such is my understanding.
You could come join our LRS unit, we're sending guys left and Right to every school there is... Ranger, RSLC, Path, Jump M... Come join the fun... Grin
But if there are MTOE slots, your unit should be able to send you to the NG Pre-Ranger down at Benning, from there if you pass it's off you go... Though some states are a bit tight on the pennies.
