I am currently serving in the ARNG as an MP and I will graduate with BSN in May. I want to switch to Nurse Corps. Only problem I have is with the Chpt 2 Physical. I had a back injury and surgery (microdiscectomy L4-L5) with good recovery. (I have even seen others get approved waivers for this same surgery)I am looking for the path to take, my company has been letting me coast on the unofficial profile but I will need this resolved either before or during the physical. A new fulltime soldier told me today that had I decided to get the waiver that I couldn't get a passing chpt 2 physical. That dosent sound right to me but after hours of surfing through army regs I can't find a true answer to my question. If you have the solution/ answer could you please post your source or regulation so I may verify.
Thanks

Speak to the AMMED recruiter. Every MOS has a min profile requirement. Many MOS's allow a perminate profile of 3. Initial Commissioning requires a 2 or better in all areas. For MED Corp there are often different rules though. AMMED would be able to give you the straight.
