I just heard that the National Guard max age for enlistment is 35 down from 42 as of Monday March 23. Anyone else hear this? If you have prior service you can subtract a year for each year of service. So, if you had 3 years of active duty you can be 38.
Yes, that information is correct. I returned from talking with a recruiter today and have a copy of the memo. It also says "waivers beyond this are not authorized." I'm told there is a good chance they will raise the age limit again in September.
It is unfortunate for me as I have been studying Arabic for more than a year and just came back from living in Egypt. I'd like to get into the DLI but maybe they have enough people to speak Arabic at this time. No waivers makes things even tougher! Malish, I will become fluent anyway!
