my husbend is in the national guard in michigan and i was wondering if i get any education money like he gets the gi bill thing ??? if so how do i find out info on this..thanks in advance.

1800goguard.com has some state by state info alternately you can also call the school of choice financial aide department. They can usually help more then anyone (and be timely about it) and on the chance that the guard doesn't help with spousal tuition in your state they can point out what else you may qualify for (pell grants, federal stafford loans etc)

My wife and I went thru this conversation. There is a way, but it is sorta cheating. :-)

Basically, have your husband apply for school and use Tuition Assistance to pay for his courses. Then, apply for his GI BIll. Once that starts rolling, as long as he is in school checks will arrive monthly, that you can basically use for anything you want, -Mine is paying off some bills. :-)

I have heard something about the transferability of the GiBill being reformed in Congress, but I have no details on it, and would not count on it anytime soon.
