Seriously, I would just talk to your recruiter about all the MOS stuff. He will be able to tell you what units there are in your area. He will also be able to tell you what MOS you might enjoy. If you cant get something with computers, choose something that you would enjoy that would be a good compromise. There is not actual 2 year program in the guard. it is either 3x5,6x2, or 8x0 being active x inactive reserve. All equal 8 years. You can do ROTC, or you could complete college and go through OCS. I would go here http://www.1800goguard.com/forums/index.phpThere are several NJ recruiters on there, and another guy that used to be an officer recruiter. They are all very helpful in all things guard related.

well i met with my recruiter today and i took the practice asvab test and i was told all the information i needed. i failed the test but by 3 points so i need some studiying. and also since im overweight my recruiter is going to help me train and lose weight starting 2morow which i thought was pretty cool of him.the lowest i can do is 3 years i was told which sounds good 2 me. the nj Guard pays for all cost for college which i thought was also good to hear. he told me only bonuses i get is if i do a 6 year contract n the bonus is 20,000. he told me i would get half upfront and the other half i think when im done. this wedsday im goin to take the real asvab test if i fail no worries because im going to be training and losing weight for about a month or 2 so by the time the month comes i can take the test over again.im pretty damn happy about my decsion and proud that i finally got out of the ghetto state of mind and finally becoming the man i can be
