My buddy just got out of boot camp for a crime he had committed. he was charged with a felony, and it was for robbery. He stole less than $1,000 worth (which makes a big deal in enlisting in the military, i guess). he always wanted to join the military, but now was told by his parole officer that he can't enlist while he's on parole. Is this true? Is their any strings the Guard can pull to get him in while on parole or shorten his parole? Or even dismiss his parole because hes joining the Guard. He wants to leave the time I do which is July, but wont be off parole till January. Any help on this would be great. Would ask my recruiter but its a sunday.
