I am a Prior Service Marine trying to join the Army National Guard since March. I took my physical on March 22. They just got my physical back last week and now I am informed that they have to verify that my MOS (0341) in the Marine Corps transfers over to infantry in the Army.(lol), In addition the recruiter informed me that he is only allowed to enlist one individual a month now due to restrictions. Is it this hard tojoin the Naitonal Guard. I have no medical issues was a poster child marine, (clean record alot of commendations and awards). Any suggestions in trying to get this 3 month marathon moving along? Thanks.

NG is over strength by 10,000. I think they will have it sorted out by next fiscal year. Sometimes units would keep people on the roles just to make their numbers look good, expect them to finally kick them out. plus there are units deployed and redeployed moving folks around. I know on the signal side it is hurting pretty bad.
