Yes,it involves an IST.
How else can you deploy with a unit if you are not part of that Unit?
You have to be in the Units books in order to get paid.

I can slot you as a 68P to deploy,but I can not guarantee you will do that job.

I can not give you any details, about our mission because I do not know who you are.

All that you have on your personal page is that you are in the Guard.
If you want more info about our mission email me your info and I will verify it.

I'm not working at the moment so I'm interested in a deployment as I plan to go to Law School next year so I could do with making some $$.

I'll be shipping off for Basic (Ft. Jackson) on June 11 2008, then AIT Fort Belvoir VA, 21U - back in Atlanta Ga. +/- Feb 2009.
My Unit 48th Infantry Brigade (Macon, Ga.) is supposed to go to Afghanistan on summer (June) 09. Is there anything you could help me with, to make sure I do deploy with my unit, by then?

Hi Ramon,
According to your post. You will be back from training in Feb 09 and your unit will deploy in Jun 09.
You should be able to deploy with them.
Most units will have new soldiers join them up to 5 months after they deploy. It will depend on the location of the deployment and other factors.

I just helped 2 soldiers from GA get sloted for deployment and they will be joining the deployment unit in June 08.
