I recently finished my masters in Florida.
I used TA until it ran out. It covers a maximum amount her credit hour, around $250, and they paid no more than $1500 per term. My TA ran out three terms into a five term fiscal year with the fiscal years starting and stopping around October, November. I had to use my GI Bill for the rest, and what I could save up using the MGIB-SR (I'm in the Guard) had to be applied to what the TA wouldn't cover because it was used up. Once a new fiscal year started, I got a whole new $4500 to play with. Good luck!

Wayne, the NG tuition is different in each state. I am from Ohio and here is how it works. Oh has 100% TA, if you go to a state school it is totally free. It you got to a private or out of state school as I do, they pay the equivalent that would be paid to a state school. There is not a yearly max.
As for law school, I too am looking into this option, if you went to a state law school 100% would be covered. Akron even speaks to this on their LS website.
Good Luck
If you get a chance grab a NG Almanac it has all the benefits. I asked guys as my Unit and they did not even know the answer to my TA questions.

Thanks Ron. Would I have to use the state or the federal TA for law school ? I was told that the federal can not be used for a professional degree, maybe thats wrong. Thanks
