A Soldier I know was involved in a bar fight. He is being charged with simple assault/mutual combat (a misdemeanor 3) which may/probably get dropped to a summary offense. How serious is this regarding a career in the NG? He is currently a contracted Cadet and Cadets are not punishable under UCMJ but I'd assume he would lose his scholarship.
