When I was in the Corps me and another Marine earned the Armed Forces Reserve Medal (Marine variant) when our reserve units were deployed. He is also now in the Air National Guard and just got back from a a back to back deployment with his unit. He's has earned The AFRM Air Force Variant because of his deployment. He asked me if he wears two medals or just one? If it is the latter which does he wear the Marine one or the Air Force? He has asked people at his unit but no one seems to know. I told him to lean towards wearing one with a "2" device because I think wearing two of the same medal doesn't make sense but he still wants to know.
