I am currently a 20 year old male in college and was looking at joining the National Guard. I've talked to my recruiter, some family friends in the military and a buddy at West Point, but I haven't found a for sure answer when it comes to airborne school. I was looking at enlisting as a 31B, going to OSUT for 22 weeks and then wanted to go airborne. I've heard people say make sure I get airborne in my contract while others have said they've never heard of that happening. I was wondering if it was possible to get airborne in my contract in the Illinois national guard as a MP?

I also wanted to go Airborne as an MP. Although, not much use for MP's jumping out of planes in my old Unit. With that said, it really depends on the Unit you are going to. They will be the one's paying for it. If they don't do regular jumps, then more than likely your not going to get Airborne in your contract.
