Hey guys, ive just decided to join and would like some advice on what to do, what not to do, and what to expect. My MOS will be 52D as it was the best MOS that went hand in hand with my civilian career at the moment. How can i be certain that thats what my MOS will be before i sign up? Anybody know where AIT is for that MOS? Id like to hear what some of your mistakes where and also what i can do to help my life easier. Also any input or insight on what to expect during basic and AIT would be great. Thanks.

All I can say is simply make sure it's in your contract when you sign it. When they hand it to you, you will feel like they expect you to just sign it... Don't. Read that bish even if you make them sit there for 2 hours cuz it's YOUR career. If you don't like your contract, don't sign.

Check out Joining the military? > Boot Camp forums for lots of BCT and AIT goodies.

As Gojeero said, read the contract, all of it. If there is something in there you don't understand, ask questions.

As far as BT/AIT, do some running, pushups and situps ahead of time. If you are in decent shape going in, it will be much easier on you.
