Are you doing distance learning or on site Guard MOSQ school? You'll only get paid if you get sent to a onsite school like I did for 52C in Kansas. I don't envey you if they make you do DL. The cd-roms are a pain in the arss!! Distance learning is usually on your own, I suggest finding someone in your unit that is well versed in your mos for it to help you study. I had to finish the DL when I got to the school cause I ran out of time beforehand.

I'm doing DL for 74D right now, it's a real bear. They do have it online now instead of the CD roms, which is nice. Otherwise, yes, its a crappy necessity to do the DL on your own time. Sorry man!

Perhaps your unit will allow you to do as much as possible (like all day) while at drill? Give them an ask.

I have completed hundreds of hours of distance learning, the trick is to kill a few tree and print out the entire lesson, then take the exam and look up the answers as you go... all army schools are open book exams anyway so its not cheating...

I was just reading through this thread and I just wanted to make sure that I understood what is being said here.

Distance Learning is an option for completing MOS school/AIT. Is that correct?

If so, does anyone know of a listing online that would show which schools are availiable in a distance learning format?

Thanks

In the Guard & Army Reserve phases of schools may be offered/authorized as as DL. No MOS can be gained thru DL only and no AIT is DL. You can use ATRRS https://www.atrrs.army.mil/atrrscc/ to find what MOS has DL phases, but you must research each MOS individually.

I've got a quick question...

If you have a civilian job related to a different MOS that you are currently in, can you take DL classes?
