I am currently active duty with almost ten years in. I am getting out, but would like to continue on possibly in the National Guard as an Officer. What is the age limit for OCS? I have seen 30 and I have heard 42. Please let me know. Thanks.
Thanks for the info _jb. I think that age 30 and above must get a waiver. If I were to wait a few years will the requirements still be the same and age waivers will still be easy to get, or do you think age waivers will become more difficult to get once the war is over and people start to join up again?

30 and above need age waivers is correct. We had a couple of guys in my OCS class that were 39, so it's doable. I don't know how difficult it'll be to get age waivers in the future. Also, look around www.armyocsng.com if you have other questions.
I got a commission through my states OCS school back in 94. I was 35 years old at the time and had to have a waiver due to my age. I was the oldest in my OCS class and they called me "Pappa Smerf" LOL. Due to the need for officers they have extended the age limit but I am not sure what it is now and what is waiverable.
If you are to old for a Commission you should look into being a Warrent Officer. Also just because the age limit is say 40 or so today that does not mean that it will stay that way. They could very possibly up that age limit so stay on top of it if you are determined to be an Officer.
