Hello I am currently going through the process of enlisting into the wyoming national guard. I am 21 years old and my goal is to become a warrant officer and fly blackhawks. My question is what is the best path to take in the guard to get me to that point in the most direct manner. I know the Army has the street to seat program but i was told the guard did not? That being the case what would my best bet be with MOS choice. All my line scores are plenty high enough so thats not an issue. Thanks in advance for any advice, and for your service

I just enlisted (KY-ARNG)and am also going to fly blackhawks (God willing). My MOS is listed as 15V or 15T, either one is the starting point as you must first be trained as a mechanic. My 9wks of basic is followed by 17wks of AIT. If there is direct entry into 15V, I believe that MOS specifically is the blackhawk chopper. I have listened to stories of some hawk pilots and after AIT I believe the least amount of time I have heard before being asked to pilot training was 4yrs. You can also learn more about the two MOS's on the Army's website. Hope that helps, hope to see you in the cockpit.
