I attended the ceremony today. A very good showing from both active duty and retirees. Guest speakers were BMCM Downey (Retired), Mass. Congressmen, ADM Allen, and BOSN4 Galvin (Ancient Keeper). They had both the 44301 and the 42001 station keep on the bar (1-3FT seas) during the ceremony. HH-60, Falcon and a WPB 110 was all in the background at sometime. At the conclusion, the 301 struck her Ensign and passed it over to the 001, turned out and exit the bar her last time. SHe is E/R to New London for haulout. She will be temporaryly stored until the new CG History Museum is built in New London.
BMCS Sends CG44301 Coxswain during Hvy Wx School at NMLBS.
