I have been building a scale replica of this MLB since 2000. I do know that it was the last 44 MLB stationed at Cape Hatteras. What I would like to know, is the history behind it. When it was built, where its been and when it was decomissioned. Any help would be great

Sir: The only information I have for CG44319 was that it was completed by the Coast Guard's Curtis Bay Yard in August of 1963, and was initially assigned to Station Hatteras Inlet. It may have also been assigned to other stations, but I have no information as to which stations other than Hatteras Inlet. Hope this is helpful. Tim
