Having stood across the table from the skipper earlier in my career, I can tell you that there are fewer things in life as intimidating as standing across the table looking at the green table cloth. I affectionately renamed going to mast as “putting with the Captain” on this green the only hole being sunk is yours.

As my units MAA, I have stood with the "Mastees" on four seperate occasions. Maybe I can use this bit of history to help ease the tension for the next one. (Or maybe not...)
