i trying to retrain and 2 of my choices are
1c3x1 command post
3s1x1 MEO
do you guys know anything about these 2 afsc's

check here: http://www.usmilitary.about.com and type in the afsc's in the search block. It mostly has generic info but its a good place to start.

I also recommend talking with some folks about it that actually have the afsc. Call the command post and go see the meo guys. Most command posts are off limits to non authorized folks but the meo offices you can just walk in. I'm sure neither would mind answerring questions for ya.

i can tell you that the 1c3x1 job is an admin type job, its alot of phone answering and paper pushing

Im a 1c3, i love it.

Pro's:
You meet ALOT of people.
You know everything going on on base.
You make alot of connections.


Cons:
You are in the limelight with leadership you pretty much work directly for the wing cc (this can be a con)
Shift work, usually work alot.
Someone always has to be there so holidays and such don't apply to you.

I could go on and on with both pro's and cons. but every assignment you get the job will be diff. You do do alot of phone work but its all good.
