First off you are not an E-2 yet. You are still in DEP. To be an Air Force officer you need a Bachelor's degree. What that degree is in will play a part in if you get selected or not. For example, if you have an engineering degree you will probably get accepted over the person with the degree in English.

Pharaoh -- Mbwillis is correct in that you require a Bachelors Degree to be an officer. However, it isn't a guarantee. There are a few eligibility requirements one must satisfy to even be eligible to apply for OTS. Having the degree only fills one of the squares.

Although this is generally the rule, it's not always the case. It will depend upon other factors as well. I've known quite a few folks (prior enlisted and NPS) who were selected off the streets with Liberal Arts, English, Fine Arts, and other non-technical degrees. I've also seen a butt load of folks with technical degrees who were not selected.

The OTS board looks at the whole person concept and weighs all available info to make their selections.

Applying to OTS is a hassle. The entire process is a show and don't be surprised if you miss boards repeatedly for dumb reasons.

Doesn't matter though because you have a LONG way to go before you can even consider it.
